Dwight Yoakam - A Thousand Miles From Nowhere

Dwight Yoakam Takes You “A Thousand Miles From Nowhere”

Dwight Yoakam, the one – the ONLY Dwight Yoakam, is a country music legend. His recent collaboration with Post Malone (I Don’t Know How To Say Goodbye) is quickly becoming a fan favorite, but we can’t forget the numerous hit songs Dwight has on his own.

Guitars & Cadillacs, Fast As You, Ain’t That Lonely Yet, These Arms, Buenas Noches From A Lonely Room, Little Ways, Sorry You Asked, which is your favorite?

This one here is a personal favorite of Random Niches. Released in 1993, and off his album ‘This Time’, A Thousand Miles From Nowhere is a Dwight Yoakam staple. The music video, featuring a vagabond Dwight “riding the rails” as he sings of heartache and lament, echoes in this writer’s mind and will always be a favorable memory.

His unique vocal styling, his onstage presence, the way his lyrics always resonate and paint a picture, all that to say here truly is only one Dwight Yoakam.
